Privacy Notice

For us, data is the basis for providing you with an outstanding service. But our most important asset is your trust as a customer. Protecting customer data and only using it in a way that customers have come to expect from us is extremely important to us. That is why it goes without saying that complying with the terms of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is at the core of our business. It is also important to us that you know when and how we use your information and how it is stored.

What information do we collect and why?

Internet connection data / IP addresses

IP addresses are required for troubleshooting, website administration and demographic information. When you visit our site we can only see the domain name of your provider, not your email address. The only way we see your email address is if you give it to us directly by filling out a form or sending us an email.

Collecting and processing non-personal data

Every time a user accesses our website, in other words every time a user calls up or attempts to call up a file on this server, data is stored to a logfile. This data is not personal and we cannot tell which user called up which data. We also make no attempt to collect this information. Collecting general data and information

When you visit our website, general data is collected and is stored in logfiles on the provider’s server. The following data is automatically collected:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of server request
  • IP address (anonymised)

This data is not combined with other data sources to create a profile. No conclusions are drawn about the data subject. The information is used solely for security purposes, such as for tracking unauthorised access, for statistical analysis of the frequency with which our website is visited and to ensure that our website functions correctly. We do not pass on data to third countries.

Contact form

You alone decide whether or not to provide us with the requested information for a survey, for example. Knecht GmbH may use your information for inquiries, sending information material, processing orders or to improve our products and services. As such, we process the data you enter in the contact form on the basis of steps to be taken prior to entering into a contract and of our legitimate interest in answering your inquiry and sending you information about our products (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)). We do not pass on data to third countries.

This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Applicant data

It goes without saying that even if you send us an application via email, your information will be handled confidentially. A hard copy of your application will be kept by our human resources department. If we enter into an employment contract with an applicant, the data provided will be stored in accordance with legal requirements for the purposes of conducting the employment relationship. If we do not enter into an employment contract with the applicant, the application documents will be automatically deleted two months after informing the applicant of the rejection decision, provided that such a deletion does not conflict with another legitimate interest of the controller. Another legitimate interest in this context is, for example, a burden of proof in proceedings brought under the German General Equal Treatment Act.

Opt-out:

If you no longer wish to receive offers, emails or information material, you may withdraw your previous consent at any time. To do so, simply send us an email or tick the appropriate box on the form. Please use the appropriate contact form or send us an email.
